10-year-old obtains distinction in Grade 8 ABRSM

Congratulations to Nicholas Peh, who obtained a distinction in his Grade 8 ABRSM practical exam! Nicholas only came to me in October 2016, having had lessons overseas without having taken any practical exams. Nicholas is an intelligent, hardworking and deligent student. Initially his parents had wanted him to take the exam in March 2017, but I told them that I had no confidence that he would do well given the short time. We then agreed for him to take the exam in July 2017. I am very happy that everything worked out well in the end. The feeling that I have helped yet another young student achieve his potential is both exhilarating and comforting. Nicholas will proceed to further his academic and music education in the UK. Best wishes to him and looking forward to his contribution to the music scene in years to come..

On another note, congratulations too,  to  Sim Zheng Yu who received the Gold award in the Piano Solo - Advance class in the Singapore Performing Arts Festival 2017 (SPAF)

Our Gold medallists @ Mandeville Festival 2017

Many congratulations to all of them! Every performance is a learning experience. You learn what works for you, what can be improved, what not to do, how to cope with nerves, and above all you learn who you are as a musician and mature with each performance. Many thanks also to teachers Mervin Wee and Li Zhen Qiang for having prepared meticulously for their students' participation.

Sep 2016 ABRSM results. Congratulations!

We are pleased to announce that Clara  Tjon and Jiang NuoYi both obtained distinctions in their recent ABRSM Grade 8 practical examinations! Clara only came to Classical Heritage at the start of 2016. Within this short period, she managed to improve her results from a pass in Grade 7 to a distinction (130) in Grade 8. Similarly, NuoYi had a pass in Grade 6 in 2015, and it took her one and a half years at Classical Heritage to score a distinction (133) in Grade 8. We are so happy we could help realise their full potential in their final graded examination. We wish them well and hope they will continue to explore and enjoy music.

Heartiest congratulations too, to Claris Ling who obtained distinction (137) in Grade 6 and Gareth Goh who obtained distinction (135) in Grade 1.

WELCOME to CLASSICAL HERITAGE!
